The Bookish Time Travel Tag

Hello everyone! This tag was created by The Library Lizard. I thank her for tagging me and making me a part of this 🙂 You can check out her post here.

The Bookish Time Travel Tag contains a bunch of questions centered around time travel and books. So lets get straight to the questions!

The Questions:

1. What is your favorite historical setting for a book?

The eighteenth and nineteenth century! This is because most of the classics and historical fiction books I have read have been from this period. I enjoy the archaic language, the way people behave, the themes in the novels and just the overall experience.

2.What writer/s would you like to travel back in time to meet?

Margaret Mitchell. I would have lunch with her and definitely try to convince her to write a sequel to Gone with the Wind.

I know I would’ve gotten along with Anne Frank.

I would also love to meet Arthur Conan Doyle- a genius who created a genius like Sherlock Holmes.

3.What book/s would you travel back in time and give to your younger self?

So many! All the fairy tales, Disney story books, Alice in Wonderland, Oliver Twist, Peter Pan, books by Raold Dahl and Dr. Seuss. I didn’t read any of these when i was younger. Hopefully, I’ll still get to these one day but I think I would’ve enjoyed them more as a child.

4.What book/s would you travel forward in time and give to your older self?

The Perks of being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I never want to lose touch with this book. It is very important to me and I hope it is in the future as well.

5.What is your favorite futuristic setting from a book? E.g. Panem from The Hunger Games (said no one ever).

There aren’t many books I’ve read that are set in the future so I’m just gonna skip this one.:)

6.What is your favorite book that is set in a different time period (can be historical or futuristic)?

The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank is one of my favorite books. It is set during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. It is the only book I’ve read that’s set during the World War 11 but I hope to read more sometime.

7.Spoiler Time: Do you ever skip ahead to the end of a book just to see what happens?

Rarely. But when I do, I usually regret it. Just recently, I spoiled myself on a minor event from Lady Midnight by looking at the last page.

8.If you had a Time Turner, where would you go and what would you do?

I would go to many different time periods and just experience being in them. It would be like having a marathon of a lot of movies from different eras but instead of just watching them, I’ll get to experience them. I’ll also like to go back and see how my family was before I came and blessed their lives. 🙂

9. Favorite book (if you have one) that includes time travel or takes place in multiple time periods?

Unfortunately, I still haven’t read a book that’s based on time travel.

10. What book/series do you wish you could go back and read again for the first time?

Definitely the Harry Potter series. Reading this series for the first time without having any clue as to what its about would be brilliant!
