The Quest Of The Sparrows is a spiritual book told in the form of a story. The book is told through the perspectives of three people, mainly Pratibhan, a young man turned guru who takes his followers on a 600-kilometer journey on foot without money and belongings. During the journey, many leave whereas many go through a stage of self-discovery.

I liked reading about the group’s journey even though it did seem a little unrealistic. Some of the philosophies of Guru Pratibhan didn’t make sense to me while some really appealed to me. I think I would have liked them more if they were written in a simpler way.

The book focuses on various things such as helping others, gratitude, meditation, selflessness, believing in the divine and focusing less on materialistic needs. It talks about religion and other gurus and also various questions that humans beings have regarding the universe.

The writing of this book is to-the-point and fast-paced. It is a quick read and really holds your attention throughout. The cover is also eye-catching, creative and very fitting. I especially liked the color.

This book could have been easily written as a self-help book but having been written as a novel makes it more fascinating. I enjoyed the plot but I just had a hard time believing it.

I haven’t read any book like this before and I’ll say I did take something from it. I will definitely recommend it to people who are looking for spiritual/self-development books and also for an engaging and unique read.

Thanks to the authors for sending me a copy of this book. All opinions are honest and unbiased.
